As of 11/17/2025 NFIRS setup tabs have been added into NERIS to aid in ease of setup for new departments, and existing departments that are accustomed to NFIRS.
Note: If you have these tabs configured within NFIRS, all of your previous entries and configurations will carry over and be available in NERIS to prevent entering the same information twice.
The following tabs have been added into NERIS Setup directly from NFIRS:
- Unit Attendance Task
- This tab is used to track the attendance tasks that a personnel member performed in relation to a specific unit
- Examples: Driver, Jump Seat 1 Radio 12
- Attendance Task
- This tab is used to track specific attendance options performed by a personnel member on scene
- Examples: Provide ALS, Provide BLS, Fire Police etc.
- Unit Task
- This tab is used to track specific operations that a unit was tasked with during an incident
- Examples: Assist Police, Air Bott Exchange, Aerial Ladder Use
- District
- This tab is used to track the specific District that an alarm occurred in
- Alarm Box
- This tab is used to track the response zone that the incident occurred within
- Examples: 300 Station 2, 400 Station 3 West side
- Shift
- This tab is used to track what shift of active personnel was on the call during the time of the incident
- Involved Type
- This tab is used to add and track any involved types that can apply to cost recovery or property loss
- This is only used for departments that track others involved or track insurance costs for specific alarms that are marked as billable
- For this tab to be visible, Show Others involved needs to be enabled on the general tab of NERIS Setup
- Examples: Additional Vehicle, Other Business, Occupant, Owner
- Apparatus Disposition
- This tab is used to track specific locations that units will send in regards to a hospital disposition they are being transferred to
- Examples: Highland Hospital, Patient Refused, Strong Memorial Hospital
