As of RedAlert v2.0.11 a new tab was added to the main search view of the NERIS module titled "NERIS Portal"
Users with the "Submit Incident" Security permission can view this tab showing the submitted NERIS incidents
If you are a Multi-Agency system Administrator that is not assigned to a specific department, when you open the tab, you will be prompted to select which agency you would like to view from this tab
Searching Incidents From The Portal:
This tab reaches out to the NERIS portal and searches for the last 7 days of incidents initially, and can be changed to extend the date range out to 30 Days, or 90 Days for quick adjustments
You can also change the date range to be as short or long as desired, the quick date buttons are just for quick searching
If you are looking to see if there is a duplicate for one of your incidents, or any issues with a specific submission, you can filter down to a specific incident number
Once clicked, it will filter all of the results down to any records that have that matching incident number for your agency
The first page will return up to 100 of the most recent NERIS incidents that have been submitted from your agency, if your agency has submitted more than 100 records, the new page buttons will highlight
You can then switch between the next page of records submitted to NERIS, or go back to the previous page
Note: Each page only holds 100 incidents, this is a limitation from the NERIS portal and cannot be increased by Alpine within RedAlert
You can search by the multiple incident statuses at once:
You can also search by multiple NERIS Incident Types at once as well to find exactly what you're looking for
The new Portal view shows all of the NERIS Specific ID information for each call, as well as their status within the NERIS portal and if the reports have been Approved, Pending Approval, Rejected and any other statuses from NERIS
Duplicate Submission Handling
The NERIS portal website does not allow users to delete potential duplicates or mismatches from the portal if there was a submission error
The new NERIS Portal tab allows RedAlert users to delete duplicate incidents from the NERIS portal within RedAlert itself
Note: This requires the "Delete Incidents" Permission to be enabled for the user's security profile to delete incidents from the NERIS Portal
Properly Linked Submissions
Any records that are submitted from RedAlert to NERIS that are properly linked to their NERIS Portal Submission will appear as seen below with the green label and the Incident number of the record in RedAlert
If the record is properly linked to a NERIS incident within RedAlert, you can click on the RedAlert INC # button to open the record in RedAlert
Missing, Mismatch, and Duplicate Records
When there is a submission to the NERIS Portal that is not tied to a NERIS Record within RedAlert, users will see the links in the RedAlert INC # column reflect if the incident is linked
Duplicate:
If there is a duplicate record submitted to NERIS with the same incident number from RedAlert, you will see in the new tab the record indicate that the report is a duplicate:
If you click on the duplicate record, you will be prompted with the following:
You can click to filter down to the records that share that incident number to weed out the duplicated records, or delete the incident from the NERIS portal
You can also filter down the search results to just the duplicated incident numbers by clicking the Filter to Incident button here:
This will filter the list down to any records that have the same incident number as what is selected
Missing:
In this example above, there is a submission to NERIS that is NOT Tied to a RedAlert incident
These records CANNOT be opened within RedAlert, as there is no incident to link the submission to
If a user has delete permissions, they can click on the Missing label for the incident:
Then the user will be prompted if they would like to delete the record
If you click yes, you will be asked to confirm deletion of the incident you clicked
Once deleted, the record will be removed from the NERIS portal
Mismatch:
If a record is mismatched, where a report was submitted to NERIS with one incident number Ex: 2026-000026, and this incident number is changed, Ex: 2026-000027 the NERIS portal will recognize a mismatch between RedAlert and NERIS
If MISMATCH is clicked, you will be able to open the Red Alert Incident that has the incorrect Incident number compared to NERIS, the example above should be 2026-000025, but in the incident shows as 2026-000027
