Watch this short video covering the Fire Report Tab in NERIS for a guided walkthrough
The Fire tab is used to enter any information relating to suppression and alarm presence on scene.
The new basic Fire report in NERIS contains much of the same information from NERIS but with more in-depth tracking and information storage.
In the first row as seen above, you can track:
- The type of fire
- Where the Water supply came from
- Was there any investigation needed?
In the second section, you can track:
- Was fire suppression present?
- The number of sprinklers activated
- What types of fire suppression were present?
- Is Cooking Fire Suppression present if applicable?
The Fire Suppression types can be added and edited as needed for the alarm.
By clicking New, you will see the following
You can pick from a list of different fire suppression types, and the extent of coverage.
This will then be added into the record
The third section of the fire report covers the presence of any alarms or alerting systems, and if they are present, working, and if their effectiveness
The last portion of the fire report Lists all the suppression appliances that may have been applicable in the alarm such as fire extinguishers or the diameter of the hose used.
