Watch this short video covering the Response Tab in NERIS for a guided walkthrough
The Response tab is used to see all the dispatch information for the new NERIS incidents
From here, you can add units, attendance records, and see all the dispatch times.
You can search on the left hand navigation for apparatus at the top
Note: If you do not see your units in this section, or a red text warning stating that there are no units in the proper table for NERIS, with an update from 11/06, units can be added or changed here:
NERIS Setup:
Apparatus tab:
You can also search through your active roster in the bottom section, or if your department uses companies to separate your personnel, you can filter by company here as well
You can enable responding companies as well within NERIS Setup, this is used to track which company responded to the alarm and who the alarm would be chargeable to
With feedback directly from our departments, we added support for the old attendance grid that was used in NFIRS.
Just click the Attendance Grid button at the bottom of the Response form
This will open an updated version of the old attendance grid for users that are more comfortable with the old style of attendance tracking
The top portion of the response form screen strictly covers the following information relating to the units on the alarm.
- Dispatched Time
- Enroute Time
- On Scene Time
- Cleared Time
This can be changed or edited by opening the record for that specific unit:
If you have any Medical times that you want to track for a specific unit, you can click the Show medical times button
This will show any medical times and Dispositions that you want to track for a specific apparatus
Within this section, you can enter the Unit Task, and transport modes of your apparatus if applicable in the unit report as well
You can track your Stating and Ending Mileage from here as well
You can also transfer attendance from your scheduled roster if you have the RedAlert Scheduling Module, and if there are members on shift for that specific apparatus, you can transfer them into the unit assignment for the call
Below the top section, you can also log any personnel that were assigned to the unit at the bottom
If you need to track that there were no units responding to the call to submit to NERIS, you can use the Confirm no Unit Response checkbox
Once a unit is added to the call, the checkbox will become greyed out preventing users abstaining from submission of the unit report when units are assigned to the call
To add personnel manually to the unit from here, you can click new in the bottom left and this will bring up the Personnel entry screen for NERIS
Once added, it will track their the unit they were assigned to, what their Attendance task was for the call, their Attendance task of that unit, as well as who it was recorded by, the entry method, the device name, and the date
This will also be reflected in the attendance records of the alarm, and it will update their unit assignment
You can also create a personnel exposure report for a specific member if someone is exposed to a biological hazard or chemical hazard
This allows departments to have records tracking any and all exposures to their members that required hospital treatment or otherwise
You can also add unit assignments in batches by using the Batch upload feature
From this field if you select a unit that was dispatched to the incident, each member you add will automatically be assigned to that unit
Example:
Each member I add after selecting E2, will be assigned to E2
Within the top section, if you click on a unit, and you have member assigned to that unit, they will highlight as selected as seen above
This makes it easier to see visually who is assigned to what unit in your NERIS incident
In our example above, there are multiple attendance types to choose from as seen above depending on their method of attending.
This section pulls from the personnel attendance types that are created within personnel setup.
As of 11/06, you can use the Copy From Incident button in the personnel section to copy attendance for faster entry
When clicked, you will see the following window, this allows you to copy attendance from a past call, or a call that happened 24 hours after the incident that the user is viewing currently
