The Narrative section is used similarly to the Narrative section within the old NFIRS system, to track comments and other information for the incident.
There is a new section to be able to track any possible obstacles that got in the way during the working alarm
You can also clear the narrative, select a pre made narrative, check your spelling, or time stamp your entry.
To create a pre made narrative you can do the following:
Navigate to System Setup
Then click on the remarks tab
You can search for a remark here if you have one, or you can click New in the bottom left corner
Enter in the NERISMAIN table, and the field IMPEDIMENT_NARRATIVE for the obstacle narrative in NERIS, and OUTCOME_NARR for the standard Incident Narrative in NERIS
Then you can input the information that you want to be selectable in NERIS when Select Narrative is clicked
The final narrative box is the classic Narrative information under the final disposition.
You can use Select narrative here as well
Documents Tab:
The documents tab, similar to NFIRS allows you to upload any images or information relating to the alarm that your department wants to track
Upon selecting the documents module it will appear as follows:
To add a document click New:
Then fill out the required information
Once you add your document and save the record, it will appear and be viewable in the report as seen above.
